Chidi Lloyd, a Rivers state politician, broke down in tears on Tuesday, November 22, as he publicly apologised to Governor Nyesom Wike for previously attacking his government.

Lloyd apologised to the governor at a public event for verbally attacking him and even taking him to court during their political rivalry. He stated that after Gov Wike was elected in 2015, he went to various courts seeking an order to prevent Wike from being sworn in as governor of the state. At this point, he burst into tears and begged forgiveness.

“Your excellency, I do not deserve you,” he sobbed as Governor Wike’s band began to play.
