The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) (AAC) for the 2023 election, Omoyele Sowore will speak on ‘Nigeria: Adopting Sustainability For Economic Prosperity’ at the 52nd Annual Accountants’ Conference in Abuja.
Sowore has been invited as a special guest speaker at the conference being organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
According to the invitation letter sent to AAC presidential candidate, dated September 5, 2022 which was signed by the 58th President of ICAN, Mallam Tijjani Musa Isa, the Conference is scheduled to hold between October 10 and 14, 2022, at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
According to the invitation, Sowore who is among six special guest speakers at the conference will address over 5,000 Accountants’ from across the country and globally who are expected to attend the four-day conference.
The invitation was titled: “Invitation As A Special Guest Speaker At The 52th Annual Accountants’ Conference.”
It read in part, “We are pleased to inform you that the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, (established by Act of Parliament No 15 of 1965) is organising its 52nd Annual Accountants’ Conference from October 10-14, 2022, at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
“The Annual Accountants’ Conference is a major platform for ICAN’s advocacy and thought leadership programmes, which attracts over 5,000 Accountants from Public Practice, Commerce and Industry, Public Sector, Academia as well as leaders from other Professional Accountancy Organisations across the globe.
“The theme for this year’s Conference is ‘Nigeria: Adopting Sustainability For Economic Prosperity’ and will focus on economic recovery and sustainability. It will also provide insights on how organisations can contribute to social and environmental sustainability and highlight the challenges and approaches for sustainable development.
“In view of the economic, social, political and security challenges bedeviling our nation, the Institute considers the conference an opportunity for your party to address expected delegates on workable solutions to resolve these numerous challenges and move the nation forward.
“The Governing Council and the over 56,000 members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria will appreciate it if Your Excellency would graciously accept to attend and speak for 15 Minutes at the Conference as one of the six (6) SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKERS AT A SESSION on Wednesday 12 October 2022 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja at 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM.
