On Monday, Cezza’s Blog discovered that the incident happened on Sunday night.

A source told Cezza’s Blog that the tanker lost control while attempting to manoeuvre through a roundabout connecting the Ogbomoso-Ilorin motorway in the Poat area.

According to reports, a tanker carrying Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) lost control and fell, spewing its cargo.

According to information obtained by our correspondent from sources, the tanker exploded as a result of some locals starting to scoop up the contents.

It was discovered that the ten injured people had been transported to hospitals for treatment.

The incident was confirmed by the Oyo State Fire Service to Cezza’s Blog on Tuesday.

In an interview with Cezza’s Blog on Tuesday, Reverend Canon Yemi Akinyinka, general manager of the state fire service, said that men from the command were able to put out the fire.

Yes, it did happen, Akinyinka admitted to our correspondent over the phone. I’m so glad you called. No one perished.

But some of them suffered injuries.

According to Cezza’s Blog, the incident occurred just a few weeks after a tanker in Ibadan lost control and caught fire.
