To commemorate the second anniversary of the shooting during the End SARS rallies, demonstrators have gathered at the toll gate.
On October 20, 2020, troops opened fire on End SARS demonstrators who were requesting an end to police violence at the Lekki Toll Gate.
However, many who were at the toll gate said there were numerous injuries and deaths despite the authorities’ insistence that nobody was killed.
People from the general public gathered at the toll gate for a memorial parade to commemorate the shooting’s second anniversary.
Soon after they congregated, police used tear gas to scatter them.
Protesters may be seen running for cover in a video taken on the site.
