Locals claim that on Saturday, October 29, 2022, around 4 pm, herdsmen attacked the neighborhood, killing the three and injuring a number of others.
Mr. Solomon Ukoom, Mrs. Eunice Torkwase Joe Kpei, and Mr. Mfeseer Iorbume were the identities of the deceased, according to community leader Joseph Anawah, who verified the attack.
He said that Mr. Solomon Ukoom, Mrs. Eunice Torkwase Joe Kpei, and Mr. Mfeseer Iorbume were killed by armed herders on October 29, 2022, at around 4:00 pm.
“Many suffered injuries.
The victims are from Benue state’s Ukemberagya Gaambetiev Logo LGA. The attack took place at Tse Ikyem near the Anawah village, which is also the location of the murder of two persons on October 23, 2022.
SP Catherine Anene, a spokesperson for the State Police Command, confirmed the event on Sunday.
She sent a brief SMS to the Nigerian Tribune with the message “Incident confirmed please.”
