The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has released the Air Transport Licence (ATL) of Azman Air, one of the nation’s domestic airlines.
The airline had been forced to suspend flight operation over N1.2bn debt which accrued from non-remittance of ticket sale charge and cargo sale charge (TSC/CSC) on Thursday, leaving hundreds of its passengers stranded across the country.
The NCAA suspended the ATL renewal of the airline to enable it sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on how it would pay the outstanding charges.

But the airline resumed flights on Friday with all its flights operated successfully after getting the nod from the NCAA.
Daily Trust reports that the regulatory authority released the ATL certification which would enable the airline to operate without any hindrance.

The ATL signed by the Director-General of the NCAA, Capt. Musa Nuhu read: “A Licence to operate scheduled and non-scheduled passenger and cargo air services within and outside Nigeria is hereby granted, pursuant to Sections 18.2.2.3 and 18.2.2.4 of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations 2015 to:

Messrs: AZMAN AIR SERVICES LIMITED 1, Zaria Road, Kano for a period of five (5) years Date issued: 16th September, 2022 Expiry Date: 15th September, 2027. The utilisation of this Licence shall be in compliance with all relevant Civil Aviation Regulations.”
