The state police command’s spokesperson, DSP Alfred Alabo, stated in a statement that the reports of an impending bomb threat (IED) in the Terminus area of Jos metropolis are being looked into.
According to speculations spreading on social media, Alabo said that the command quickly reacted to the crisis by sending out its Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) unit and other tactical teams to bring things under control

The Command hereby guarantees the security of the public. In light of the aforementioned, the Plateau State Commissioner of Police, CP Bartholomew N. Onyeka psc (+), implores the good people of the state to be vigilant and report any suspicious people or movements in their areas to the nearest Police Station or other relevant security agencies for prompt action, according to a statement.
He continued, saying that the state commissioner of police further urges people to go about their legitimate business because intelligence mechanisms and EOD experts have been set up to neutralize any kind of rising security threat.
