On its official Twitter account, the Islamic Republic News Agency tweeted: “American star Britney Spears was placed under her father’s conservatorship in 2008 owing to her mental health difficulties.”

The tweet’s conclusion said, “That gave Britney’s father power over her finances and even her private life issues including pregnancy, remarriage, and visits to her teenage sons.”

Additionally, they included a photo of another user’s response to Spears’ post, which read “Nice talk.” Can you already manage your own finances?

Iran questions Britney Spears

They did this in reaction to a tweet from Spears, a 40-year-old American-Iranian actress, and her 28-year-old husband Sam Asghari. Me and my husband support Iran’s citizens in their quest for freedom, it read.

Iran, which is ruled by a cabal of hardline Islamic clerics, appeared to be trying to determine whether Spears was fit to be questioned there.

Asghari explained why he backed the protests in Iran in a video that was uploaded to his Instagram account back in September.

Asghari, 28, claimed that the Islamic Republic administration assumed power in 1979 and imposed its ideology, propaganda, and dictatorship on the populace. “It killed, stole, and slaughtered innocent individuals,” the statement reads.

Iran questions Britney Spears

After Mahsa Amini’s passing, women all throughout Iran have been protesting gender inequality. The 22-year-old passed away while being held by police after being detained for allegedly breaking the strict morals standards of the Muslim country, which require women to cover their hair.

Amini’s family believed she was beaten to death, despite the IRNA’s repeated claims that she had a heart attack.

Meghan Markle and other famous people have lent their support to the Iranian ladies demonstrating.
