“Cleric begs – govt to rehabilitate: – flood victims:

The federal government has been urged to help clergymen and other Nigerians affected by the devastating flood that has submerged churches, destroyed their homes, and destroyed their farms by a group of priests and vicars operating under the auspices of the Universal Assembly of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star Priests (UABCSP).

Numerous water bodies have overflowed in the past two weeks, leading to numerous fatalities and severe damages in various sections of the nation. hindering motion.

Their members ministering in States like Bayelsa, Kogi, Nasarawa, Anambra, and Rivers States, among others, have lost their churches and personal properties, according to a statement issued Tuesday morning and signed by their chairperson, Her Eminence Glory Mike Ntuk.

 

The statement included the following passages: “On behalf of the governing board of UABCSP, we wish to send our profound condolences to as many States and towns, particularly our members who continue to struggle with floods throughout the entire federation.

We share their sorrow because many of them have lost close family members and are stationed in the impacted States, neighborhoods, municipalities, and villages. On their priceless property, crops, and farmlands, others have experienced significant damages.

“We express our sympathy over the hardship that Nigerians are going through as a result of this natural disaster.

 

“We wait patiently for the federal government to act. We request the government to take the necessary steps to alleviate our priests’ and other people’ suffering. A lot of them require total rehabilitation.

The body of priests expresses sincere faith that God would keep guarding and supporting His children in all the impacted States.
