A fully filled fuel tanker suddenly burst into flames at Ugwuoba, a border hamlet in Enugu State that is home to the Hausa people, averting disaster on Friday.

According to a source, the event began at noon when a tanker leak resulted in a fire.
However, workers from the Anambra fire department put out the fire after quickly arriving at the area.
Martin Agbili, the chief firefighter in Anambra, who corroborated the occurrence, claimed that following a struggle amongst members of the command, the fire was successfully put out.
“On October 28, 2022, at around 1100 hours (11 am), the Anambra State Fire Service in Awka, Nigeria, got a distress call regarding a fuel tanker fire next to the Ugwuoba Garki Market in Enugu State.
The fully filled tanker, which contained 35,000 liters of gasoline, was parked along the road when it suddenly caught fire as a result of gasoline leaking from the top of the tank into the sun.
“Not only was the tanker rescued, but the main gasoline tank was also kept from catching fire. There was no fatality.
