According to Dr. Kazeem Adesina Abidikugu, a Consultant Psychiatrist, education is the only way for underprivileged children to overcome the cycle of poverty.

Abidikugu said this on Tuesday while distributing educational materials to hundreds of parents and guardians from the Oyo state local government areas of Ibadan North East and Ibadan South East.
Abidikugu said he gave the money as part of his efforts to advance education in Ibadan South East/Ibadan North East and the entire state of Oyo.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the DAKA Foundation stated that education is the only means by which disadvantaged children may end the cycle of poverty.
Hundreds of parents and people from the two local government regions attended the event.
Dr. Abidikugu’s non-governmental organization, the Dr. Adesina Kazeem Abidikugu (DAKA) Foundation, spearheaded the distribution of the books.
Speaking to the parents, the consultant psychiatrist indicated that the foundation was created to support education, good health, and poverty alleviation. He was represented by his father, Alhaji Tiamiyu Abidikugu.
The only means by which the children of the impoverished can escape poverty, according to him, is education.
“There is abundant evidence that education is the single and feasible weapon that children of impoverished families may use to break the cycle of poverty they are born into,” he asserted.
One of the main UN objectives to end poverty is regular investment in education.
Because education teaches information and skills that support greater wages/income, Dr. Kazeem Abidikugu is aware that there are less poor people in a society the more educated the population is.
Human capital development is viewed as a weapon against poverty reduction in the millennium development goals (MDGs), which is why the DAKA foundation placed a strong emphasis on initiatives to support high-quality education in primary and secondary settings, which is the cornerstone of our educational success.
“It is realized that in developing nations like ours, the objective of development or poverty alleviation will be difficult to fulfill without adequate foundation for human capital formulation.”
After receiving the educational materials, Mrs. Fadeke Oyan thanked everyone and added that people like Abidikugu are behind because even though he has not had a governmental position, he still harbors a deep love for the common people.
She said it was unfortunate that Abidikugu wanted to represent his constituents at the federal level but was turned down for a ticket in the kangaroo primary.
Adeniyi Mideen, another recipient, pointed out that leaders in government should be people like Abidikugu.
“Someone who recently had his ticket denied but is still utilizing his hard-earned money to aid the masses has to be praised,”
