Enitan Okediji, a young Nigerian lady, has been chosen to serve as the Vice-President of Academic Affairs at Boston’s esteemed Kennedy School of Government of Harvard University.

Okediji, who was up against several other candidates, won the support of her fellow students and won the right to speak on their behalf to the professors and the management of the school.

 

Okediji, a professional in international development and the first Nigerian advocate for the African Union Youth Charter, wrote on her social media accounts:

“I understand how crucial it is for a person of color to hold the space for others and make sure that their views are heard throughout the entire room. Okediji added, “I consider it a great honor and a call to duty. I am appreciative for the faith and confidence placed in me to speak on behalf of students and issues to the Harvard Kennedy School Administration.
