Ferdinand praised Casemiro for his incredible effort for Manchester United against Tottenham at Old Trafford.
In addition to controlling the midfield for Erik ten Hag’s team against Antonio Conte’s team, Casemiro, who joined Man United during the summer transfer window, also assisted the defense in keeping a clean sheet.
The goals for Man United against Tottenham were scored by his teammates Fred and Bruno Fernandes.
In evaluating Casemiro’s performance, Ferdinand referred to the Brazilian as a “fantastic” signing and emphasized how the former Real Madrid player improves the play of his colleagues.
On his FIVE YouTube channel, Ferdinand said of Casemiro, “He [Casemiro] is producing the performances that we expected the moment he [Casemiro] has got back in the team] and given a run in the team, but the biggest thing [is]he is like the glue in the team, but also is the one that allows other players to go and perform.”
He gives the midfielders space to move around and use their creative abilities while still protecting the back four. He is, in my opinion, a fantastic addition to our team. Positionally, I thought Casemiro was just enormous.
“Fred does what Fred does,” he continued. Occasionally energetic, yet occasionally gives the ball away. Once more, I believe Casemiro brings that, and I believe he improves some of the guys.
