“EPL: Gary Neville, Roy Keane agree: – on Arsenal’s title chances – as Man City lose at Anfield:

Gary Neville and Roy Keane, both former Manchester United players, have downplayed Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League, despite the fact that the Gunners moved four points ahead of Manchester City on Sunday.

Mikel Arteta’s team defeated Leeds United by a score of 1-0, while City fell to Liverpool by the same margin.

Given that Arsenal has already won nine of its last ten league games, many supporters are starting to consider them real title contenders.

However, Neville and Keane continue to believe they will keep the title.

On Sky Sports, Neville was questioned about whether City would “run away” with the championship. He replied, “I still think they will. Today doesn’t, in my opinion, alter that. This is a bizarre game taking place at Anfield, and I believe it will be the hardest game City has ever played.

“I still believe City will win easily. Arsenal, in my opinion, will return to Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Newcastle. And I believe City will simply disappear. This season is also significantly different from previous seasons. It might be entirely different after the World Cup than it is right now.

“I still fancy City for the title,” continued Keane. Although Arsenal has enjoyed a fantastic start to the season, there is still much work to be done. You wouldn’t bet against Man City because they are clearly very, very strong and won the title [last season].

“Arsenal have improved, and the summer recruiting [was good].” They have momentum, a positive vibe, and a lot of excitement in the club. They’re still having some luck, as evidenced by today’s missed penalty, but you still have to root for City.
