International Breweries Plc’s Corporate Affairs Manager, Damian Igwe, expressed sympathy to the populace and the Anambra State Government for the loss of lives and property while speaking at the handover of products.

“This is one of our corporate social responsibility interventions,” Igwe said. The goal is to assist the displaced residents of Ogbaru LGA by providing emergency supplies, primarily food. Fidelis Igwe, Plant Manager of International Breweries Plc in Onitsha, also commented. He said the community of Ogbaru had been a wonderful host to the firm and that the company felt it was its duty to assist them during this tough time. “It’s good that we return favors when they are due. We believed it was crucial to provide the neighborhood with something to keep them going,” he said.

The camp manager, Chinedu Okosa, thanked International Breweries Plc for the gift after accepting it. Okosa reported that 1,046 displaced people from 647 homes have occupied all the flats in the two buildings supplied by Hon. Chuchu Onyema, who represents the Ogbaru Federal Constituency.
