Enenche promised to clear the air in a few days after receiving feedback on his EndSARS comment, stating he understands how painful it is to hear such shocking news.

Enenche recently urged well-meaning Nigerians from all social classes to participate in the country’s political process in order to elect credible, qualified, and capable leaders in 2023.

Enenche urged Nigerians of good conscience to take a stand on international matters, saying he had opted not to be silent but to speak out instead.

He said in a statement on Friday, “Therefore, I made daring to openly and objectively endorse the candidature of HE Mr. Peter Obi and Dr. Yusuf Ahmed-Datti without fear of limitation.”

Assuring Nigerians of their capacity to reform the nation, he claimed that his choice was based on his knowing of Obi and his vice presidential candidate for around 17 years and 5 years, respectively.

“This is what Nigeria needs right now to get over all the difficulties that have been placed in front of the populace during the past 20 years.

“I think all Obidient Nigerians and others who support and struggle to restore our nation to its former glory have the same commitment as me.

“In this regard, I make a plea to everyone involved in this effort to allow us to keep concentration in order to complete this crucial objective.

“Let me add here that many of us in this liberation fight have much to give and contribute based on information obtained over time in excess of thirty years, that would provide a strong basis to Labour Party Government at all levels in Nigeria from 2023.

“Dear countrymen and ladies, following my appointment to the Labour Party’s campaign council, there have been replies to my statement regarding a video taken at the scene of the ENDARS incident at the Lekki toll gate on October 20, 2020, on social media.

According to their respective analyses and the material they had access to, “everyone who commented in any way was right. Based on the sacred oath of devotion I took while entering the military, I labored both personally and professionally with the best interests of Nigerians at heart.

“I genuinely felt the pain of that breaking news, so to speak, through social media. On that topic, I want to reassure everyone that more work will be done so that all claims can be substantiated from reliable sources,” he stated.
