The veteran gospel singer died last Friday, and many reports claimed he collapsed and died.
To set the record straight, Vincent told Punch that late Okposo died in his sleep.
“It’s not true that Sammie collapsed and died. That report is incorrect. The family will clear the air when the time comes. But I can tell you unequivocally that he did not slump. He simply did not awaken from his sleep.
The details of the funeral arrangements will be disclosed by the family. However, they are still in mourning for the deceased singer. ” he explained.
The 51-year-old singer was survived by his wife, Ozzy, and their children.
