2023: Igboko promises to boost infrastructural development of Aba if elected

The 2023 House of Representatives standard-bearer of the APP for Aba north and Abia south federal constituency of Abia State, Hon Christopher Igboko, has harped on the economic importance of Aba, and regretted that enough has not been achieved to raise the bar in infrastructure to enhance local and foreign productivities in the commercial nerve center of southeast zone.

He promised to rewrite the narratives in infrastructural development of Aba when rally-rounded to emerge victorious in the forthcoming general elections in 2023 to be conducted by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) across many states in Nigeria federation.

 

Mr Igboko stated this during the concluded verification tour of Aba north and Aba south local government areas and other local areas in Abia State by the governorship candidate of the Action Peoples Party, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu.

 

Recall that Mascot Uzor Kalu, a former chief of staff to Abia governor had recently embarked on statewide verification tour of the seventeen local government areas in Abia State which aimed at assessing the readiness of the Action Peoples Party for the coming 2023 main elections in the state.

Continuing, Mr Igboko, however, applauded Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu for his unimaginable vision for Aba and wonderful roadmap to transform the commercial city, saying that he would support his visions for Aba by attracting quality federal projects to the federal constituency if elected into office come 2023.

On his part, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu, the Gubernatorial Candidate of the Action Peoples Party in Abia state, frowned the Infrastructural dilapidation in Aba, the commercial hub of the southeast zone and regretted that Aba is known for its industrial and enterprising ingenuity but has been left to suffer Infrastructural decadence.

He made his feelings known while addressing a cross section of executive members of the party and teeming supporters in Aba South local government area of Abia State on Tuesday.

According to him, “Aba will receive special attention from our government. While other governorship candidates see Aba as the problem, I see it as the solution for Abia State.

“Aba alone can generate us the revenue we need to run the state, but before that can happen, the infrastructure must be fixed, and that is our priority”.

AFRIPOST gathered that with his recent visit to Aba South local government area of Abia State, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu has rounded off his verification tour in all the local government areas of Abia South senatorial district. His attention, therefore, will be shifted to the Abia Central and Abia North senatorial districts.
