Cezzatech remembers that the IPOB leader had been cleared of all terrorism-related charges brought against him by the Federal Government by the Appeal Court.
Kanu was just dismissed, not cleared, according to Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami.
Malami’s position was supported by the National Security Council, which refuted Kanu’s total exoneration. Despite the ruling, the development has maintained the secessionist in the Department of State Services’ (DSS) possession.
Elder statesman Clark remembered how President Muhammadu Buhari promised during multiple meetings with Southeast stakeholders that he would abide by the court’s ruling regarding the IPOB commander in a statement on Monday.
“Now that the Court of Appeal has decided the case, I am pleading with the President to follow its ruling, release the young guy, and allow for peace.
Anything that will improve the peace and stability of the nation must be accepted at this time, when insecurity is the norm, he said.
Malami was also confronted by Clark on his position, accusing him of having abandoned a portion of his duties and engaging in what he called “executive rascality.”
To the sorrow and dismay of patriotic Nigerians at home and abroad, he continued, “I have, unhappily, noted that the Attorney General has, no doubt, abandoned part of his duties and is now engaged in ‘executive rascality’.”
