After the state executive council meeting on Thursday, October 20, Kingsley Fanwo, the state’s commissioner for information, issued the declaration.
He added that Governor Yahaya Bello underlined his commitment to ensuring that the state’s resources are used wisely.
Fanwo stated.
It is official that this administration has made numerous significant advancements in a range of fields that relate to the themes of our governor’s New Direction Blueprint.
“This new development in derivation allocation would undoubtedly motivate us to provide better services to our citizens.
As soon as the news was revealed, our governor expressed his joy at being able to inform the Kogi state’s excellent citizens that the administration had been granted our first derivation allocation as an oil-producing state.
“This declaration is consistent with the administration’s dedication to accountability and transparency, for which we have won numerous awards.
“To make this history, we labored arduously. But we couldn’t have done it without the help of our people, who stood steadfastly by our side to see that this was done.
We also want to thank President Muhammadu Buhari for his leadership and the RMAFC for helping to make this happen.
“We’ll create additional roads, schools, and medical facilities. We’ll give women and young people more power. We will maintain security while I am in charge.
