The medical director was detained by the Kwara state police command in connection with the alleged murder of two ladies, whose decomposing bodies were discovered in his office at Kaiama General Hospital, according to the Afripost daily.
In the suspect’s office, one of the decayed remains was found in a little grave, and another was recovered in a garbage can.

The House asked the police and other security authorities in charge of the incident to conduct a thorough investigation with the goal of bringing all parties involved to justice to serve as a deterrence to others in a resolution on a subject of general public significance during the plenary on Thursday.

The House advised residents and members of the Kaiama community not to let the tragedy deter them from supporting the hospital’s management and the new Chief Medical Director.

The legislative body gave the community’s residents security-related advice, cautioned them against enforcing the law themselves in response to the occurrence, and urged them to trust that the government will find the offenders and bring them to justice.

The House congratulated Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq for appointing a new CMD quickly so as not to disrupt the facility’s medical services or leave a void.

It expressed sympathy to the families of the impacted people who had passed away and begged to God to give them the strength to endure the loss.

A motion on a matter of general public importance was introduced by Hon. Abdullahi Halidu Danbaba (Kaiama/Kemanji/Wajibe) regarding the need to reassure Kaiama citizens about the General Hospital, Kaiama’s ability to offer medical care.

Following some more shocking disclosures concerning his criminal exploits, particularly against members of his host community, Hon. Danbaba called the House’s attention to the arrest of Kaiama Dr. Adeyemi, the former CMD of Kaiama General Hospital, in connection with a murder case in Edo State.

He claimed that everyone who knew the doctor was shocked when the former CMD later confessed to alleged horrible activities that included kidnapping, murdering unsuspecting victims for ceremonial purposes in the community, and killing innocent residents.

Since the General Hospital is the only place an average Kaiama person may find comfort while seeking medical attention, Hon. Danbaba acknowledged that recent revelations in the office of the CMD could have negative psychological repercussions on those whose trust he had betrayed.

In light of this, the honorable member begged the residents of Kaiama to move past the unpleasant situation and keep their faith in the hospital and its staff.
