The shopkeepers who indiscriminately advertise their goods on the sidewalks along Oshodi Road have received a warning from the Lagos State Task Force.

The task force’s chairman, Shola Jejeloye, issued a warning that anyone caught selling goods on the walkways would now be detained and prosecuted.
Abdulraheem Gbadeyan, the agency’s director of press and public affairs, issued a statement in which the task force also announced that it would impounded automobiles belonging to those who disobey traffic laws.
The declaration said;
“On March 9 of this year, we conducted an enforcement operation in which certain products were taken from the dealers and some drivers of commercial buses had their cars detained, however we showed compassion to the traders and some of the drivers who had acquired some of the commodities through soft loans,” with the assurance that they wouldn’t go back to the side of the road.
“Unfortunately, it appears that they have fully returned to the road. However, this time, anyone found selling items by the side of the road will be detained and prosecuted by the agency.
Commercial vehicle drivers who are notorious for being rowdy and completely disregarding traffic laws will now be arrested and have their vehicles impounded if they do not turn over a new leaf.
