The Boulder police chief, Maris Herold, reported that Chloe Campbell was discovered at a home address on Monday, October 10, approximately 5 p.m.
She seemed uninjured, according to the police.
The police stated, “We have no belief at this moment that she was held against her will.
After being seen at a Boulder High School football game on September 30, Chloe vanished. She was last observed by witnesses acting “intoxicated” on Boulder Creek Trail.
Her father stated that she was a “high risk” target for predators because she was with two “sketchy older males.”
Chloe had been “struggling since the outbreak,” according to David Campbell, who thought she might have been the target of traffickers.
Her parents posted flyers all around the area in an effort to lure their daughter home.
David Campbell issued a warning to anyone he suspected of abducting his daughter, saying that he would locate them and the family would “never stop” until Chloe was returned safely.
The teen’s parents claimed they received a concerning Snapchat snapshot from one of their daughters’ friends a few days after she vanished.
Even though the photo showed she was still alive, her parents said she appeared “damaged and ill”.
She vanished on October 1, according to Deputy Chief Stephen Redfearn, and her father reported her missing on that day.
Boulder police countered that they were correct to classify her disappearance as a runaway rather than an abduction because they always knew she was alive.
After the teen was discovered, Boulder police chief Maris Herold addressed the media. “While investigators continue to believe that Chloe ran away, there is an ongoing investigation into where she was and what occurred while she was removed from her family,” she said.
