“Nnamdi Kanu has been discharged: – not acquitted of terrorism charges – National Security Council:

According to the National Security Council, Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, was exonerated of all counts of terrorism by an appeals court.

Shortly after the National Security Council meeting that President Muhammadu Buhari called today, Minister of Police Affairs Mohammed Dingyadi provided the council’s position on the court decision.

 

According to Dingyadi, the council concentrated its debate on the verdict of the court rather than a political solution.

 

According to him, the council is currently debating the best course of action to take in this regard and will inform Nigerians of its decision in due time.
