When Derek Chisora was announced as Joshua’s substitute opponent for his fight on December 3 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, The Gypsy King accused Joshua of being to blame for the collapse of their planned bout.
Prior to turning his ire on Joshua for “ducking the last big money bout of his career,” Tyson was furious with Chisora, who he defeated in 2011 and 2014.
The fight didn’t happen because they didn’t want it, he continued. They never intended for it to happen after the first week of conversations.
Joshua became aware of how difficult the undertaking was and was persuaded not to do it by both his people and himself.
If not for that, Derek would not be present right now. He has no belts on him. He doesn’t have anything I need, and we will never get into a physical altercation. Ever.
Simply said, there was too much mucking around. I won’t go through that ordeal once more. They are too difficult to manage. No more idling around with moron.

Fury said, “I discovered that I can’t live a normal life without boxing,” when asked why he decided to change his retirement plans. When I do have to stop, I’m going to require therapy for that. However, that won’t happen for a time.
