CSC Adamu Shehu, the NSCDC’s spokesperson, acknowledged this in a press release sent to journalists.
He claimed that the new-born baby girl was found on Sunday at the Hadejia-based Kandahar B Quarters.
Adamu stated that the infant was found early on Sunday in an unfinished structure.
When Zakar Mohd came back from the mosque in the morning and overheard the infant screaming, he reported it to the NSCDC.
When emergency personnel arrived on the scene, they took the infant to the General Hospital Hadejia where a doctor examined him and declared him healthy.
The newborn was sent to staff members of the Social Welfare Department, Hadejia LGA, according to the NSCDC spokeswoman, for suitable care.
He declared that the NSCDC has opened an inquiry to find and apprehend the mother of the infant.
