“Ogun police arrests – three men for allegedly: – attempting to kidnap their, former employer:

Three men were detained by members of the Ogun State Police Command for reportedly attempting to kidnap their former boss in the Ogun State district of Ijebu Ode.

Peter Nse, 24, Chuckwuma Nwobodo, 48, and Michael Umanah, 30, were detained when Ifenuga Olayinka filed a complaint at the Igbeba divisional headquarters, claiming to have received a text message from someone identifying themselves as a “Killer Vagabond of Africa.”

 

 

When confirming the arrest, SP Oyeyemi Abimbola, a spokeswoman for the state police command, said;

 

The author of the aforementioned communication warned the complainant to deposit #5 million into a bank account he gave to him or face being kidnapped as soon as possible.

 

Following the report, CSP Musiliu Doga, DPO Igbeba division, sent his investigators to identify individuals responsible for the nasty message.

After that, the detectives began a technological and intelligence-based investigation that took them to Anambra state, where they apprehended two of the suspects, Peter Nse and Chuckwuma Nwobodo.

He stated

 

Michael Umanah, the third suspect, was arrested in Ago Iwoye after their arrest, according to Oyeyemi.

The complainant identified them as his former workers who he recently fired for specific wrongdoing when they were brought before him.

 

When questioned, they all admitted to the crime and said they tried to commit it because they were angry that the complainant had terminated their employment. He stated,

 

He continued by saying that the state’s chief of police, CP Lanre Bankole, had ordered that the suspects be sent to the state’s criminal investigation department’s anti-kidnapping squad for a covert investigation.
