A claim that members of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ondo State Command, kicked a pregnant woman in the stomach on Saturday along the Akure expressway has been denied.

According to FRSC State Sector Commander Ezekiel SonAllah, who denied the allegations in a statement, the woman allegedly bled after being allegedly kicked by a traffic marshal on Saturday along Akure expressway.
The sector commander disputed the claims that the woman had been booted or otherwise mistreated.
He claimed that the driver of the car she was riding in only finally complied with the order to stop after he attempted to run over two marshals.

Allah asserted that the car was packed to capacity and the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
He claimed that when the FRSC officers halted the two vehicles while they were traveling from Keji in Osun to Ogbese in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State, one of the drivers managed to wriggle out of the way and drive away.
According to the sector commander, the driver of the second automobile allegedly refused to stop as well and tried to flee by turning the car toward Marshal Aboluja.
Before the car was made to stop with the assistance of other team members, the driver allegedly also attempted to run over Marshal Olamigoke.
“The moment the car stopped, the occupants got out and started sobbing. When I got there, one woman said she had been hit, but there was nothing wrong with her; she had no bleeding from her nose or anywhere else.
He claimed that the marshals brought the woman to a nearby hospital after she maintained that she was in pain.
“It is not how others are portraying it; rather, Marshal Olamigoke suffered an ear injury.
“While the driver was being taken into custody, we had to call the Scorpion Squad of the Nigerian Police to help defuse the situation.
The general public and well-meaning Nigerians are hereby informed that the information/news that has been circulating on Twitter under the handle @YemieFash concerning a Federal Road Safety Officer in Akure kicking a woman in the stomach while blood was oozing out is false and phony.
“Because there is no record of such an incidence ever occurring. We hope that by using this media, the public will reject and discard the false rumor.
As we continue to carry out our legal obligations, “We are eternally committed to creating a safer driving environment,” he said.
