Wike attacked the party’s BoT for not ordering him to follow through on his earlier pledge to quit if a northerner won the PDP presidential nomination.
After a quick journey to Spain, the governor gave a speech yesterday at the international terminal of the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa.
For him, the BOT resolution was absurd to suggest that he make yet another pledge to step down following the elections.
The PDP National Working Committee, or NWC, was not informed of the N1.1 billion that the party’s National Chairman allegedly received on its behalf, according to Wike.
He said: “Fortunately for me, Ayu has now revealed that he met with Atiku Abubakar, the Waziri of Adamawa and presidential contender, where they spoke about borrowing concerns.
“Now, the question is: Who authorizes borrowing when you talk about it? If you wish to borrow money, you must go to the NWC.
“I challenge him to produce the documents showing that the NWC authorized the party to borrow N1 billion. What does collateral mean? ”
