Following a private meeting between APGA members and the governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, there were rumors that he had given the party faithful orders to work against Obi.

But Soludo sought to refute the popular rumors while responding through his press secretary, Christian Aburime.

The National Coordinator of the APGA Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, insisted that they will work against Obi while speaking to media in Awka on Thursday.

Obigwe reaffirmed APGA’s commitment to supporting each of its candidates in the elections.

“I detest being sentimental about significant matters and prefer to speak the unvarnished truth without regard for who might be offended.

“Our self-proclaimed Saint Peter Obi, who is running for president of the Labour Party, has no affiliation with the APGA as a political party or its supporters.

In the upcoming general election, “Labour Party members will work against APGA candidates, and it is also expected of APGA supporters to work against Peter Obi and other Labour Party candidates in the election,” Obigwe added.

“Governor Chukwuma Soludo does not need to persuade APGA supporters to work against Peter Obi because they already know that it is the proper thing to do in the interest of our party, APGA,” the speaker continued.
