On Saturday, Muyiwa Adejobi, the force’s public relations representative, released a statement.

The fact that some people were disseminating misleading information in the wake of the terror alert issued by the United States, the United Kingdom, and others was lamented by the FPRO.

According to Adejobi, those making the claim include alleged peace ambassadors and patriotic agents of Nigerian unity.

He claimed that spreading frightful rumors to further incite panic in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) would be detrimental to the nation.

Adejobi maintains that Abuja is secure, there is no immediate danger, and the FCT is not overrun with bombs as has been suggested.

Residents were urged by the police to “disregard this phony news, which was allegedly sponsored to instill terror in our people and inflame the polity.”

We will continue to employ all practical operational techniques to thwart the schemes of other criminal elements and non-state actors in the nation.
