Gov. Ugwuanyi visited Prof. Edeoga in Eha-Amufu on a private visit to congratulate him on receiving the National Honors award of the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) from President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja. Gov. Ugwuanyi was joined by the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Augustine Nnamani, and the Member of the National Assembly who represents Enugu East/Isi-

 

The governor, who received an enthusiastic welcome, was also treated to a variety of cultural performances by local artists that dramatized the populace’s admiration for and support of the governor’s exceptional leadership abilities and significant contributions to the development of Eha-Amufu LGA in particular and Isi-Uzo LGA in general.

 

Youths from the Isi-Uzo LGA welcomed Gov. Ugwuanyi and promised him of their support. They also reassured the governor that PDP controls Isi-Uzo LGA, emphasizing that the council area will vote PDP in the general election in 2023.

 

Innocent Lotachukwu Odo, representing the Isi-Uzo youths, assured Governor Ugwuanyi that “because we have been giving PDP 100 percent votes in the past, we will still offer the party 100 percent votes in these next elections.”

We are here to reassure you that the youth of Isi-Uzo are totally behind you and that Isi-Uzo LGA is a PDP stronghold. There is no trembling.

Former Human Capital Development and Poverty Reduction Commissioner Hon. Godwin Ogenyi praised Gov. Ugwuanyi for paying them a visit on behalf of the stakeholders and residents of Isi-Uzo LGA, saying that it was a sign of respect for their people.

 

The people of Eha-Amufu are pleased with you, Hon. Ogenyi remarked in his thank-you speech to the governor for the special attention his administration has given to the Isi-Uzo LGA. Isi-Uzo residents are equally pleased with you. We are pleased with how you are caring for our people. The way you look after our kids and how deeply you care about the issues that affect our people.

 

We are not only stating this as a gesture because we will eventually prove to you that we are with you.
