The traditional installation rites for Prince Adegboyega Famodun as Owa of Igbajo have begun.

According to information, Famodun’s coronation rites began at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.
Famodun was appointed as the Owa of Igbajo on Monday, November 21, following a meeting of the State Executive Council presided over by Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.
Funke Egbemode, the State Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, issued a statement announcing Famodun’s appointment.
According to the statement, Prince Famodun was unanimously chosen as the sole candidate of the Owa Oke-Ode Ruling House in a meeting held on November 11, 2022.
The statement also stated that his appointment as Owa was effective immediately.
Following the death of Oba Olufemi Fasade on December 23, 2020, the seat of Owa of Igbajo became vacant.
