To rally support for the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) youths in the South-East and South-South areas on Thursday started running from Yenagoa to Lagos.

The young people assembled a group of fitness enthusiasts to participate in the 6-day exercise under the aegis of the South-East/South-South Jogging for Tinubu Campaign Initiative.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Dr. Dennis Otiotion, the party’s Bayelsa Chairman, started off the jog at the Bayelsa secretariat of the APC.
Shortly before takeoff, Otiotio addressed the team and praised the youths for offering to rally support for the Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign, saying that the action showed that young Nigerians support Tinubu.
He stated that mass youth mobilization and youth development continued to be facilitated by sports, which attracted youths from 11 states in the South-East and South-South geopolitical zones.
The fact that APC youths started the jogging from Yenagoa, according to Otitio, was impressive and showed the state’s support for Tinubu’s presidency.
According to the state’s APC chairman, Tinubu’s record as governor of Lagos State is still a verifiable indicator of his ability to lead.
Earlier, Mr. Sam Adaga, the coordinator of the support group, told Otiotio that the 25-member team includes the executive members of the organization as well as at least two representatives from each of the 11 States in the South-East and South-South.
The intention, he said, was to increase public awareness throughout the towns along their path from Yenagoa to Lagos.
Eight of the joggers, according to him, are women.
