Raphael Ayagwa, a midfielder from Nigeria, has been signed by Egyptian Premier League team Aswan on a free transfer.

Ayagwa’s most recent team was Lobi Stars of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
The 24-year-old is Aswan’s 21st new addition after their promotion to the top division of Egypt’s football last season.
The club has added a number of players, including Ahmed Hamoudi, Malick Evouna, and Mohamed Hamdi Zaki, all of whom signed on a free transfer or a loan.
Ayagwa and Plateau United won the NPFL championship in 2019.
The talented midfielder moved to Lillestrom in Norway in 2018 and played there for just one season.
Additionally, he spent time with FC Tulsa in the 2020–21 campaign.
