The current champion, Tyson Fury, declared he was quitting boxing after defeating Dillian Whyte in April, but has since changed his mind and decided to fight again.
When negotiations between the two companies broke down last month, The Gypsy King was supposed to fight former champion Anthony Joshua in what would have been one of the biggest and most costly events in sports.
After previously expressing interest in the possibility of a third fight against the 38-year-old, Fury has reportedly returned to a trilogy fight against Chisora, according to ESPN.
Fury stated in August, “I’ve chosen to return to boxing so that I may become the first heavyweight world champion in history to have two trilogies.”
“I’d always say that at the end of my career, I’d fight Derek Chisora.”
