The federal capital territory (FCT) is under greater threat from terrorist attacks, and the UK has issued a warning and a call to action for its residents to keep vigilant and “consider moves carefully, monitor the local news and the advise of security authorities.”
UK residents were advised against going to markets, malls, hotels, bars, restaurants, football stadiums, camps for displaced people, transportation hubs (including train networks), government structures—and schools.
Additionally, the British High Commission in Abuja said that only essential personnel will be permitted access to its facilities starting on Monday, October 24.
