“Wike – We don’t react to frivolities – Dino Melaye says issues don’t make, common sense:

The spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign, Senator Dino Melaye, has said that the recent statements by Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State against some prominent members of his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), including its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, amounted to “frivolities,” saying he (Wike) made the allegations out of anger.

Melaye said they could not be distracted by his allegations.

Recall that the crisis rocking the PDP took a new dimension on Friday, with Wike making allegations against the Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, and the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, among others.

Wike also accused Ayu of being very corrupt.

However, Melaye reacted to Wike’s statements by saying they did not make common sense.

The former member of the National Assembly made the statement early this morning while fielding questions on the Arise TV Morning Show program.

“I want to start by saying that we don’t react to frivolities. We are not going to react to the statement he made out of anger. We are not going to respond to what he said. We are just focused on moving with our campaigns and satisfying the quest of Nigerians by building a new Nigeria where justice, equity, and egalitarianism will be the order of the day.

We are not distracted, and we are not going to be distracted by responding to issues that do not even make common sense,” he said.
